The 15-tonner of KAMAZ-65115 has been produced since 1998, and can be characterized by the Kovintessna Kamaz classics.

As you know, in the last decade, KAMAZ created several joint ventures with foreign manufacturers of aggregates. JV «Kamminz Kama» one of them. And today it gives its effect. Both the engine and the box are localized and manufactured at joint ventures located immediately in Naberezhnye Chelny.

However, for the first time, Cummins engines appeared on Kamaza more than 10 years ago. These were the motors of the developing capacity of 285 hp With torque 970 N.M. Later there were 300-strong motors and an increased torque of 1100 N.M.

In 2018, the joint venture «Kamminz Kama» launched the production of a new configuration ISB6.7E5 310 with an increased torque of 1200 N · m.

Today, the main consumer of «Cammins» inline six-cylinder engines tribised dump truck KAMAZ-65111. Also, they are installed on the KAMAZ-65117 trucks and the KAMAZ-65116 chassis and a number of other models, including non-FAZ-5299 buses

According to the KAMAZ production plan in 2019 with the Motor Cummins will take off the conveyors of 25% of Kama trucks.

Specifically: from «740» from 38.7 to 41.7 l / 100 km, with ISBE 6.7 — from 33.2 to 36.0 liters per 100 km.

For the period from the beginning of production, more than 75 thousand Motors of the V. Cummins ISB 6.7 engines were released on the Kamminz Kama Motors, which are produced by the Localization level of about 60%. Cylinder block casting, block head and crankshaft are performed on the Foundry Kamaz plant. According to the same scheme, the flywheel is released: casting and processing «KAMAZ», imported only the crown. The technologies of processing these most important parts of Cummins ISB6.7 are mastered at Kamminz Kama. On the line, the block is performed completely: from the first to the last opening, from coarse cast iron casting to the part 100% ready for assembly. The unit is controlled by more than 3000 parameters. Similarly, the head of the cylinder block is processed. In addition, the domestic is the pallet of the crankcase, fuel equipment, etc.

The supplier for the Kamminz Kama conveyor is another local joint venture — the Federal Mogul Naberezhnye Chelny. From there they supply pistons.

The quality of localized parts and components Cummins ISB6.7 are not inferior to imported. But what is the most important, domestic production of engine parts makes it possible to optimize the cost of the motor, reduce the delivery time of components and, accordingly, production time, as well as reduce the price level of spare parts in the secondary market. This allows you to offer freight spare parts at such prices that the acquisition of non-original and the more counterfeit becomes unprofitable. At the same time, the warranty on localized components is 12 months.

This is how «Kamminz» helped rejuvenates not only the self-dump truck KAMAZ-65111.

We only add that in the spring of 2017, the solemn launch of the production of Cummins L series engines was held. Mastering the production of more powerful engines has become an important step in the development of the joint venture. 6-cylinder engines of the L series have a volume of 8.9 liters and develop the power from 300 to 400 hp. Depending on the modification. If the engines of the B series in power, mass and dimensions are suitable for cars with a full weight of up to 25 tons, then the engines L are suitable for cars with a complete mass of up to 33 tons.
