The German automaker Opel revealed the first information about the updated Insignia family, the official premiere of which will be held in January 2020 at the Motor Show in Brussels. But it should be noted that the car’s facelifting was held on the old pillar platform. But the next generation of the flagship will move to the PSA group platform. Therefore, the car will not be supplied to Russia.
Announced update is the first facelifting that is experiencing the second generation Opel Insignia from the moment of entering the market in 2016. Design changes were minimal. In front of the front, it is a wider radiator grille with a new pattern and chrome finish, an aggressive front bumper with reduced fonts, in the rear — new lights, other shape of the exhaust system and bumper.
The main acquisition of the updated OPE LINSIGNIA was the optional Intelli Lux LED Pixel Light Headlights with 168 LED elements (84 each) instead of the previous 32. Due to the two control units, the new headlights react faster to changes in road conditions, illuminate a large area and provide better visibility in turns .
It is known that Insignia 2020 will be able to boast the wireless charging of the smartphone, the updated Multimedia Navi Pro information and entertainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as the newly developed rear-view chamber with an increased angle of view enlarged to 90 degrees and a range of 20 meters.
The first debuts of the updated Liftbek Grand Sport and the Sports Tourer wagon, the cross version of the Country Tourer and the Insignia GSI sport modification are expected later.
